ASTROLAB Matcha Studio, a new matcha concept from Columbus hospitality veteran Jason Lam, is opening in Upper Arlington, Ohio according to the 614.com.
Lam announced the project on social media, describing ASTROLAB as a personal passion project that brings together his interests in thoughtful design, Japanese culture and intentional hospitality experiences.
Lam has spent the past decade working as the Creative Director of Fukuryu Brands, helping shape the design and identity of restaurants and cafés in the Columbus area. He said the new concept reflects what he has learned throughout his career and the people who have influenced his approach to hospitality and creativity.
ASTROLAB Matcha Studio is set to be located at 1600 W. Lane Avenue, Suite 160, in Upper Arlington. The concept shares its space with Milky Way Matcha Bar, another business from Lam. ASTROLAB is powered by Milky Way Matcha.
The studio is focused on specialty matcha, bringing Lam’s interest in Japanese culture and design into a new concept for the Columbus area.
ASTROLAB Matcha Studio is scheduled to open tomorrow, according to the announcement. For updates and further details, follow the business on Instagram.
