Coffee shop Bearly Awake appears to have a brick-and-mortar location in the works. It is eyeing a ground-floor, 875-square-foot space at 572 Edgewood, Suite 122, according to a recently filed permit.

A Bearly Awake coffee cart led by Alex Fernandez and Cameron Sengvixay has been operating as a pop-up around the Atlanta area. The brand blends Mexican and Asian flavors in “ways you’ve never tasted or seen before,” according to the website.

“We try to create flavors that are deeply rooted within both our cultures,” the website states. “Our mission is simple: to create a space where everyone feels welcome. No matter your background, we want you to feel at home, and hopefully bring you closer to what Mexican and Asian cultures have to offer.”

The menu features classic espresso beverages as well as specialty drinks such as the Honey Bear Latte, Oso Chocolate and the Churro Latte.

What Now Atlanta could not reach the Bearly Awake team for additional details regarding a potential brick-and-mortar expansion.
