Aladdin’s Eatery is continuing its expansion across Central Ohio, with a new restaurant in Westerville now open and another planned for Columbus’ University District, according to reporting from Columbus Business First and the restaurant’s official website.
The Lebanese-American restaurant chain has operated in the Columbus area since 1997 and is adding locations as it continues to serve communities across Central Ohio. Its newest Westerville restaurant has opened at 732 N. State St., in the former MiaMar Grill space.
The company is also preparing to open a sixth Columbus-area location in the Gateway-University District at 1607 N. High St., near The Ohio State University. The restaurant is expected to serve students, faculty, healthcare workers, residents and downtown commuters, with dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering options planned.
Founded in Cleveland in 1994, Aladdin’s Eatery is known for Lebanese and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, with a menu built around fresh ingredients and options for a range of dietary preferences. The restaurant offers dishes such as hummus, tabouli, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, soups, salads and rolled pitas, alongside smoothies, juices and other beverages.
The menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, as well as heartier dishes such as beef shawarma rolled pitas and combination plates. The chain’s approach combines Lebanese culinary traditions with a casual dining format suited to lunch, dinner, takeout and group meals.
The new locations add to Aladdin’s existing Central Ohio presence, which includes restaurants in Clintonville, Worthington, Grandview and the New Albany area. The company says it has served the Columbus community for nearly three decades.
Aladdin’s has not announced an exact opening date for the Gateway-University District restaurant. The company said the location was expected to open later in October 2026.
This article will be updated as more details about the University District opening become available.
