Nordstrom Rack is preparing to expand its presence in the Texas Hill Country with a new store planned for New Braunfels, bringing another national retail brand to the growing Town Center at Creekside development.
The store is planned for 361 Creekside Way, New Braunfels, TX 78130, where construction is now scheduled to begin in February 2027 and wrap up in July 2027, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filings. The project is estimated to cost approximately $3 million. The construction timeline remains subject to change, and an official store opening date has not been announced.
The approximately 25,315-square-foot store will mark Nordstrom Rack’s first location in New Braunfels. The retailer is the off-price division of Nordstrom, offering discounted clothing, shoes, accessories and home goods from a range of brands.
Shoppers can expect a selection of designer and national-brand merchandise at reduced prices, alongside products made specifically for the off-price market. Nordstrom Rack carries apparel and footwear for men, women and children, as well as beauty products, accessories and home furnishings.
The planned location will join Town Center at Creekside, a large retail and entertainment development serving New Braunfels and surrounding communities along the Interstate 35 corridor. The center has attracted a growing mix of retailers, restaurants and entertainment destinations as the area continues to expand.
Nordstrom Rack’s arrival is part of a broader wave of commercial development planned for New Braunfels. Other national brands have also targeted the city, including restaurants and retailers expected to add to the area’s expanding lineup of shopping and dining options.
The project was previously expected to begin construction in 2026, but updated state filings moved the timeline into 2027. The latest schedule places the store’s construction completion in July 2027, though the retailer has not confirmed when customers can expect to shop at the new location.
WhatNow has reached out to Nordstrom Rack for additional information about the planned New Braunfels store but had not received a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
