According to a recently filed permit, a new sweet shop is on its way to 1070 Norton Rd. The permit is to perform an interior buildout in the strip shopping center on Norton Road on the city’s West side, with the anticipated cost for the work projected at $50,000.

The business is being brought to the community by the same owner who recently opened the popular bubble tea and crepe establishment called Bubble and Crepe House, which is located across the street from the forthcoming sweet shop at 5500 Hall Rd.

What Now Columbus reached out to the sweet shop ownership, and although the business name is currently being kept under wraps, there are details available about some of the menu items. Guests will be able to find treats such as ice cream, hot chocolate and coffee drinks, as well as baked goods like stuffed donut holes.

Much of the interior will be utilized for preparing and selling the items, and the business will operate on a carryout model, but there will be a few seats available for guests who are waiting on their coffee or other items to be prepared.
