According to a recent article, Piroshky Piroshky, a Seattle based bakery famous for its sweet and savory hand pies is making stops in Dayton and Columbus as part of its nationwide pop-up event schedule. Operating on a pre-order pickup, the Eastern European inspired bakery will stop at Combustion Brewing on Thursday, September 12 and The Dayton Beer Co. on Friday, September 13.

Established in 1992 and owned Olga Sagan, Piroshky Piroshky serves hungry customers from across the country every day who come to visit its iconic flagship location in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Some of its most popular varieties include a beef and cheese, potato and cheese and veggie chipotle piroshky, along with sweet items like the chocolate cream hazelnut roll.

The bakery started the nationwide events as part of a way to meet demand, and Sagan tells What Now Columbus, “We frequently receive letters, emails and calls from people wishing they could enjoy our piroshky without making a trip back to Seattle. This is part of how we fulfill that demand. Knowing that we have customers in an area plays a significant role in determining where we visit.”

Sagan went on to add that another factor in the company’s decision-making is the opportunity to partner with other small businesses that craft unique products.

“Highlighting fellow small businesses that share our commitment to quality and craftsmanship is important to us. We often hear from customers who discover new favorite spots through these events—whether it’s someone visiting a brewery for the first time or trying our piroshky because they’re already a fan of the brewery,” Sagan said. “There’s something about seeing people’s faces and hearing their stories of Piroshky Piroshky that you just can’t get from shipping a box to someone’s home,” Sagan continued.

There are no minimum purchase requirements, but pre-orders for each location must be placed no later than two days prior to the scheduled pop-up event. Orders may be placed on the bakery’s website
