Apple’s new nearby location will reportedly be double the size, feature the retailer’s new layout.
Apple has plans to reopen its Perimeter Mall store at 10 a.m. October 22, the American multinational technology company announced in an email to patrons this week.
The email calls the relocation “an inspired move” with “a lot more to discover.”
Apple Perimeter Mall, formerly situated between Tumi and Copacetic, will move to space adjacent Limited that was otherwise vacant.
The new 10,000-square-foot space would more than double the retailer’s footprint in the mall, at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
In May, Apple announced plans to redesign its stores nationwide, the first company-wide renovation undertaking since the iPhone maker’s first retail store 15 years ago.
The new Perimeter store could sport the recently-unveiled look of the brand’s revamped San Francisco store, and insiders suggest the increased square-footage is preparation for Apple Car, set to debut in 2019.
Apple was not immediately available for comment.
Bloomberg just had a story out that Apple has abandoned the car project.
Looks like the new Apple Store location is near Dillard’s, not Nordstrom.
Hi Kenbud, correct. The big red arrow is pointing to the new space. Thanks! ~ CJS
Why Why WHY is there still no Apple Store in Midtown? It’s insane. The concentration of Apple users is extremely high there and yet we are still forced to trek out to Buckhead or worse The Perimeter to shop products and access a Genius Bar. Come on Apple, open up a store at 999 Peachtree or Ponce Market already.
