Decatur’s Butter and Cream is looking to open a second location in Historic Roswell, the ice cream shop this week announced on its Facebook page.

“Butter and Cream is proud to announce our second location, right off Canton Street in downtown Roswell,” according to the post.

“Thanks to all our customers, neighbors, and vendors for your support over the last two and half years. We look forward to…sharing our passion for ice cream with ice cream lovers and the community of Roswell.”

The new Butter and Cream – whose exact location has not been confirmed – should debut early 2017 and the opening will be announced “as the date approaches.”

“The second location will not affect our original shop located at 416 Church Street in Decatur. We will continue to offer the same small batch ice cream, desserts, and comfortable atmosphere you know and love.”

A permit was filed with City of Decatur to open a 2,281-square-foot production facility for the ice cream parlor, at 618 N Valley Brook Road, but a manager – by way of owner Stacy Wisniewski  – told What Now Atlanta those plans are on hold.

Butter and Cream Decatur first opened its doors in 2014.
