Dua Vietnamese Noodle Soup is looking to grow its Downtown location by nearly 3,000-square-feet.

The quick-serve pho eatery near Georgia State University, at 53 Broad St NW, this week filed plans with City of Atlanta to buildout space formerly occupied by Good Phellaz Barbershop for the expansion.

Dua would use the space to accommodate more in-house dining and to add a “boba tea bar,” Mylinh Cao, the restaurant’s owner, told What Now Atlanta in an email Monday.

Dua would open in space that fronts Peachtree Street directly behind the restaurant (Dua’s main entrance is on Broad Street).

The new space could open in April or May, Cao said.

Cao is taking over the block one storefront at a time. The restauranteur “just” opened Fish Bowl Poke Shop, at 61 Broad Street, and operates “Dua 2 Go” in adjacent space, strictly for to-go orders.

Dua has locations in Jonesboro and Fayetteville in addition to the Downtown outpost.
