Apple’s move could officially be announced April 12 at a charity gala to benefit City of Refuge in Atlanta.

Apple has plans to relocate its Alpharetta store from North Point Mall to Avalon, the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) Sunday first confirmed.

Mark Toro, Managing Partner at North American Properties (NAP), the commercial real estate developer behind Avalon, tweeted a cryptic message Saturday alluding to the move.

“Look who’s coming to [Avalon’s] Boulevard East party,” Toro posted with a link to an Instagram photo of an Apple Store.

Boulevard East is a charity gala to benefit City of Refuge in Atlanta, scheduled for April 12, the same date and time Apple has invited the public to “come see us at Avalon” on its North Point Mall webpage.

At the event, NAP is expected to have a “few surprises” ahead of launching Avalon’s Phase II. The forthcoming Apple store is most likely one of those surprises.
