As first reported by Dayton Business Journal, Oregon-based coffee shop Dutch Bros appears to be making plans to enter the Ohio market with a store in Dayton, located at 1141 Brown St. According to information in the article, Dutch Bros has recently filed a commercial zoning only permit with the city of Dayton at the long-abandoned property near the University of Dayton’s campus.

It’s unclear if the company intends to renovate the existing space or if they will demolish the building and construct a new Dutch Bros. What Now Columbus reached out to the coffee chain to learn more information, but a request for comment was not returned.

The coffee company currently has 900 locations throughout 18 states, and the menu features coffee beverages such as lattes, available hot or iced, nitro and cold brew, as well as non-coffee drinks like smoothies, milkshakes, hot cocoa, energy drinks and lemonade.

To keep updated on the company’s expansion plans, follow the coffee chain on Facebook or Instagram.
