Per information found in a recent Dayton Business Journal article, family-owned El Toro Mexican restaurant has its eye on expanding its El Toro Express concept in 2025. The express eatery focuses on offering favorite menu items with quick service by providing customers with a drive-thru to make getting those items fast and convenient.
The family-owned eatery got its start 25 years ago in Springfield and at present operates 14 El Toro restaurants, one El Toro Express in West Carrollton, Toasted Brunch Bar + Café and Vallarta Mexican Seafood Restaurant. Plans to bring a second El Toro Express are currently underway, with a 1,700-square-foot restaurant expected to open at 3920 Far Hills Ave, in Kettering, by the middle of next year.
In a phone conversation with What Now Columbus, Enrique Alvarez, the district manager for El Toro and Vallarta brands, as well as the owner of Toasted Brunch Bar + Cafe, shared that the goal is to open a third El Toro Express in Vandalia some time in fall 2025.
However the group of restaurants may not stop its expansion plans with the El Toro Express concept. Alvarez also said that although Toasted Brunch Bar + Cafe has been open less than two months, the customer response to the restaurant has been very positive, and that brand may evaluate expanding next year as well.
