A Michigan-based barbecue restaurant is aiming to open its third Ohio location next year in Dayton. Wally Yasso, chief operating officer of Prime BBQ Smokehouse, shared with What Now Columbus that the eatery is in the midst of negotiating the lease on a space located near University of Dayton.

The barbecue restaurant already has one Ohio location open in Monroe, with plans to open a second location in Dayton at 3013 Salem Ave. The team hopes to open the Salem Avenue location first, with the goal to open in the spring, with the restaurant near University of Dayton to open a couple of months later.

Its menu features 11 meats, including favorites like wings, brisket and pulled pork,  and everything is smoked in house each day and served with house-made sauces and sides. The location will primarily focus on carryout and delivery to the nearby area, however there will be a handful of seats inside the space.
