UPDATE (Sept. 5, 2018): Street Taco—Formerly Taco 404—Changes Name To Tuza Ahead of Opening

Originally announced as Taco 404 in July 2017, new restaurant Street Taco will open at 1523 Howell Mill Rd. later this summer.

Owner Jason Sherman, a restaurateur from Miami, will open the Westside’s latest taco joint in the Berkeley Heights neighborhood along a busy stretch of Howell Mill.

Street Taco will operate as a quick-service restaurant by day and a seated dining option by night. Bar service will be offered, and Sherman plans to outfit a patio space later in the year.

The new restaurant enters a competitive space, sitting between Taqueria del Sol and bartaco on Howell Mill. Nuevo Laredo and Bone Garden Cantina also offer established Tex-Mex options in the neighborhood.

“Our goal is to create a relaxing environment that will engrain [sic] itself into the neighborhood and become a place for everyone,” said Sherman via press release. “Like eating on a street corner in Mexico City: great flavors, terrific drinks, and warm inviting service; an open kitchen will let guests see and sense everything.”
