Space most recently occupied by Cafe M. Rouge will soon be converted into The Hive Buckhead.

Restaurant veterans Chuma Kennedy Okereke and Bawo Augustine Oyowe are behind the forthcoming concept.

Okereke and Oyowe are in the planning process and will soon submit permit applications to the City of Atlanta, Walter Jordan, the permit expediter handling the project, tells What Now Atlanta (WNA.)

The Hive Buckhead will be a smorgasbord of concepts, according to the company’s Facebook page: a restaurant, daiquiri bar, and juice and smoothie bar.

“We are planning to create a relaxed atmosphere that projects superb customer service in fine dining, healthy food options, delicious brunch menu and great cocktails to young professionals, millennials and the surrounding neighborhood and businesses,” Oyowe in an email Tuesday told WNA.

“You can expect items like The Hive Kale Salad, Daiquiris, Mojitos, Kabobs, Grass Fed Steak, Lobsters, Egg Benedict, Lamb Chops, etc.”

The grand opening is expected in late-September 2018.

Situated at 1845 Peachtree Road NE, the prime Buckhead space was more popularly known as Cafe Intermezzo’s home of 25 years.
