Nashville-based Slim and Husky’s Pizza Beeria is moving forward with its first Atlanta location.

Plans this week were filed with the City of Atlanta to develop land, at 581 Metropolitan Parkway SW, where Slim and Husky’s will be built from the ground up.

The 0.42-acre site in the Adair Park neighborhood of Atlanta was acquired for the pizzeria at the end of 2017 for $330,000.

4,903-square-foot structure on the property will be razed to make way for the shiny new Slim and Husky’s, according to the plans.

Slim and Husky’s serves “specialty pizzas” and locally brewed craft beer.

The name comes from “a joke the longtime friends have been laughing about for years,” according to the company’s website.

“One of them has always been a slim guy, but the other two were always big fellas, forcing their mothers to shop for clothing in the children’s husky section.”

Those three guys are co-owners Clinton GrayDerrick Moore, and Emanuel Reed.
