Downtown is getting a Wahlburgers.
The forthcoming restaurant, at 218 Peachtree Street NW, will be the second Georgia location for the burger chain franchise.
The market’s first Wahlburgers is situated in The Battery Atlanta.
A permit application Monday was filed with the City of Atlanta to build out the 6,792-square-foot burger joint downtown.
Construction is expected to cost $250,000.
Chaunce Fulton, director of operations for the Georgia market, Tuesday confirmed the plans to What Now Atlanta in an email, but was not able to comment further.
A Georgia franchise agreement calls for six restaurants for the market in total which means at least four additional locations could be in the works.
Founders Mark, Donnie, and Paul Wahlberg are behind the Emmy-nominated reality television series by the same name.

That last sentence in the article isn’t accurate. The series was actually named after/because of the restaurant. Congrats on another location in ATL though! When we go to the next NKOTB show there maybe it’ll be ready ?
