Florida-based Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders is expanding to Atlanta in 2019.

Dean ThompsonAlex Larson, and Derry Thompson are opening up to 46 locations of the quick-service chicken joint under parent company DAD’s Tenders, Inc., according to a press release Wednesday.

Dean, Alex, and Derry (or “DAD”) own and operate 10 Atlanta-area locations of Papa Johns and next year “are bringing the little ‘g’ to big ‘G’ country,” Dean Thompson said in the release.

“We looked at four or five other concepts before choosing Huey Magoo’s, but once we tasted their amazing tenders, saw the simplicity of their operations, met and got to know [CEO Andy Howard] and their team, we knew we found a concept that we could be proud to develop in a very big way throughout Atlanta.”

DAD is currently scouting Conyers, Covington, Dacula, Gainesville, Loganville, and McDonough for its initial 10 stores.

The first restaurant would open in April/May 2019, followed by the second store around December 2019.

Huey Magoo’s serves grilled, hand-breaded or “sauced” chicken tenders, salads, sandwiches and wraps, available as individual meals, meals for two and family-sized options.

All locations will also feature Huey Magoo’s newest design, pictured below.
