The Select, a 1920’s-inspired restaurant and bar, is set to open next month at City Springs, the multi-use project in the heart of downtown Sandy Springs.

Dave Green and David Lester of Paces and Vine are behind The Select.

The restaurant will feature a range of eclectic entrees and small plates inspired by American and European cuisine, alongside seasonal craft cocktails, local beer on draft and an outstanding wine program.

It pays homage to Paris’ Le Select brasserie, the all-day gathering spot for artists and literary giants including Picasso, Hemingway and Fitzgerald.

“Drawing inspiration from the Parisian restaurant, The Select will serve as a definitive neighborhood destination, inviting guests from all walks of life to share honest food, standout spirits and friendly conversation in a welcoming and relaxed setting,” according to a press release last week.

Executive Chef Matt Rainey will oversee the kitchen.

Rainey most recently served as executive chef at both Rococo Steak and Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Tampa, Florida.

Dinner and late-night small plates will be served daily with the addition of weekend brunch and lunch coming soon.

Upon opening in April, the restaurant will host live music nights called “The Select Nights” beginning at the end of dinner hour into the late evening.

The beverage program will offer wine, craft cocktails that rotate with the season, and local beer on draft.

Smith Hanes Studio has designed the space.

It will include an indoor/outdoor patio enclosed by glass with a terrace overlooking a view of City Springs’ park and fountains below.

The dining room will seat 75 guests and will be available for private and semi-private events.
