Mouth of the South is closing its Cabbagetown doors for good Friday following a farewell party, Eater Atlanta Tuesday first reported.

A post to the restaurant’s Facebook page Monday confirms the news.

“[Mouth of the South] will be having a final CLOSING party this Friday, [June 21], from 7 p.m. until LATE,” according to the social media post.

“We want to thank each and every one of you who were a part of our journey along the way.”

It’s unclear why the sandwich shop, at 186 Carroll Street SE, is saying goodbye.

Mouth of the South has only been open since August 2018, replacing Cabbage Pie.

No word on what will open in the restaurant’s place.
