As West Side Oasis prepares to enter the property at 808 West Lake Mead Blvd., the new owners are hoping to create an upgraded comfort food atmosphere following the departure of former tenant Seven Seas Restaurant & Lounge.

West Side Oasis is set to open their bar area for a soft opening in mid-February and roll out their full dining services later on.

This is the first Las Vegas restaurant venture of owners Terry Adams, Hiroe Adams and Syanne Sasekhi, who hope to embrace the location’s legacy while also elevating the menu. Sasekhi spoke with What Now Las Vegas about their plans.

West Side Oasis will have an Art Deco atmosphere with “modern and classic feelings combined,” Sasekhi described.

This blending of new and old points to the property’s history, and what is to come.

“I know there was some concern in the community about what was going to happen with this space, and we want to make sure that people know we want to carry out the tradition that Seven Seas started,” Sasekhi said.

Seven Seas patrons can anticipate Southern comfort food classics like fried chicken and catfish, but with a West Side Oasis twist. Sasekhi explained that the menu will also be inspired by comfort food from Hawaii and Japan.

“We think that a Southern/Asian fusion will follow the tradition while also expanding it,” Sasekhi said. “We want to be a part of the community, and we also want to grow with the community.”

The rendering shown above is a proposed image that West Side Oasis is still working towards. Sasekhi explained that, while the restaurant won’t look exactly like the rendering, they still have similar renovations planned.
