Instead of a planned seven-story extended stay hotel proposed in 2017, a Warner Center site, at 21322 W Oxnard Street, will now most likely see two new ground-up commercial spaces.
Plans call for the land to be split into two parcels, one housing a commercial space for retail, office, or medical, and the other is being proposed as a “large coffee emporium/restaurant.”
Both buildings would be new construction.
The Goodwill Donation Center open at the site since late-2009 would remain untouched as the Woodland Hills/Warner Center Neighborhood Council has deemed the building as “architecturally significant.”
The proposed 5,800-square-foot freestanding, retail, medical, or office building could be ready for occupancy as early as Q2, 2020, and is being marketed through CBRE.
Recently-published marketing materials suggest the spaces are still available for lease.
Information regarding the proposed coffee use was not immediately available Saturday.
