Dipped ‘N Butter To Replace Taco Cantina in Old Fourth Ward

Seafood restaurant with a 'Southern Twist' coming soon.

Taco Cantina’s long-shuttered Old Fourth Ward outpost has been acquired, according to an announcement Thursday from restaurant brokerage firm The Shumacher Group.

But the new owners aren’t sticking with the Mexican eatery theming.

Instead, Chef Jerome Scott will open Dipped ‘N Butter in Taco Cantina’s place.

Patrons can expect an “elegant atmosphere with high-quality service,” according to the Dipped ‘N Butter Instagram page.

Its “fine [cuisine]” will feature seafood with a “Southern twist.”

Additional details are scarce.

Scott did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment Thursday.

Dipped ‘N Butter will be the third restaurant in recent years to open at 480 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE in the Tribute Lofts.

Before Taco Cantina’s short run in the space, Baked was the tenant du jour.
