Urban Society Restaurant is about to start taking shape on the ground floor of The Boulevard Apartment Homes in Woodland Hills.

Chef and Owner Mike Mach recently received the necessary permitting from the City of Los Angeles to start building out Urban Society’s roughly 4,000-square-foot home, complete with a patio and bar.

Mach has leased and combined Suites 1 and 2 of the development, at 20600 Ventura Blvd, leaving only one additional tenant space which is currently occupied by ICON Lab Salon.

“There’s a built-in audience with the apartments,” Mach told What Now Los Angeles of his decision to open Urban Society in The Boulevard.

“We’re excited to serve the area.”

Italian and Mediterranean eats will be at the focus of Urban Society’s menu, available in the casual restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The exact menu is still in the works.

An opening timeline is still TBD, but it should be in about four months from now, according to Mach, which puts Urban Society’s debut around late spring-2020.

Urban Society is one of two restaurants from Mach with almost identical names.

A fast-casual version called Urban Society Cafe opened about a year ago inside Athletic Society, at 2400 Willow Lane.
