Good People Coffee is in the throes of remodeling its Sawtelle home of two years, at 11609 Santa Monica Blvd, and is already about 40 percent complete.

“As we turn two years old, we’re finally getting the opportunity to remodel our space,” the coffee purveyor in an email Monday wrote to patrons.

“Thank you for being patient during this process. We strive to make sure you have good coffee in your hand every day; we know consistency has been the base of our relationship and friendship. We thank you for your love and loyalty.”

The folks behind Good People are changing the layout based on customer feedback over its short tenure.

“Our backyard patio has been a hit, and we’re changing the layout so you’ll be able to walk through to the patio, use the restroom, [and] park in the back in any spot.”

Inside, Good People is getting a whole new custom bar with a layout “that will make the experience of coming to the shop next level.”

During construction, at the front of the space, Good People is operating a “pop-up” serving a limited menu of espresso-based drinks, cold brew, and pastries, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We apologize for the limited menu, but trust you understand as we navigate the changes.”
