Mexican eatery Casa Martin this weekend is soft-opening its second Santa Monica restaurant. Situated in the pedestrian-friendly Third Street Promenade, at 1251 Third St. Promenade, Casa Martin will welcome guests on a reservation-only basis starting Saturday, July 25 through Thursday, July 30, before grand opening Friday, July 31. It replaces Loteria Grill.

“Our soft openings are closed to the public and you must make a reservation to be seated,” Casa Martin Friday posted on Facebook. “We will be open at 11 a.m. for those of you who are interested in trying our breakfast items and closing at 12 a.m. Please call the restaurant to make your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate you.” Reservations can also be made by emailing the restaurant.

During the soft opening, Casa Martin will be offering a 30 percent discount “on your entire” dine-in order, including alcoholic drinks. Margaritas, anyone?

“Casa Martin is thrilled to be offering a full range of authentic Mexican cuisine and enjoy eating in our comfortable and casual outdoor dining patio (due to government restrictions we are not allowed to seat anyone inside the restaurant),” according to the social media post.

Casa Martin will host a live Mariachi band as part of its soft opening.

The restaurant, owned by Fernando, Orlando, and Sandro Martin, was founded with its original location at 1654 Ocean Ave in 2012.
