Starbucks Coffee in The District at Howell Mill (pictured above) and the one situated in the Atlanta BeltLine-adjacent Midtown Promenade off Monroe Drive are both in permitting to undergo $150,000 worth of renovations.

Both refreshes will include new finishes, equipment, and furniture, plus a rearranged floorplan, according to the official filings.

Electrical and plumbing work will be part of the work orders, but nothing mechanical.

The Monroe Drive update is happening in tandem with the major Midtown Promenade overhaul spearheaded by new North Carolina-based Owners Asana Partners.

What Now Atlanta (WNA) confirmed with a Starbucks shift manager over a phone call that the 1,700-square-foot Monroe Drive site is expected to remain open during renovations, with most of the work occurring after hours.

The 2,302-square-foot Howell Mill location was not able to confirm whether it will remain open during proposed renovations.

Starbucks corporate on Wednesday did not immediately respond to WNA’s request for comment.
