Finishing touches are being put on Club Candy ATL, a boutique candy shop and event space, for a December 21 soft opening.
The shop is adjacent to Georgia State University and Woodruff Park in downtown, at 10 Park Place, Suite 12.
It will feature handmade and hand-selected national and international candies primarily from its wholesale partnership with Candy Club, in addition to confectionaries such as Tom & Jenny’s from North Carolina, Sweetsmith Candy Co. from Canada, and Mortimer’s Candy from the Bahamas.
Plans also call for a 20 x 14-foot private event space.
“Everything will be elegantly packaged, no open bins or candies that you can just get from anywhere else,” Co-Owner Brandion Johnson, a former hotel executive, who traveled around the world from Europe to the Caribbean to taste and hand-select the inventory, shared with What Now Atlanta.
“It will be an upscale experience with chandeliers and glass shelving. It will have a high-end, jewelry-store feel.”
Weekly DJ’d day parties will be a signature motif for the boutique, as will partnerships with local community organizations and nonprofits.
The grand opening is expected to land on January 11, 2020.
