Bull & Butterfly has set a firm opening date in Runway Playa Vista. The steakhouse, a partnership between Chef Ben Ford and Alan and Heidi Jackson of L.A.-based Lemonade, will debut on September 24. Ford, who announced the news on Instagram Tuesday, is already marketing the restaurant as being outdoor-focused calling Bull & Butterfly a “patio restaurant.”

“Exciting news,” Ford wrote on the social media site alongside a graphic of the opening announcement. “Our patio restaurant will officially open September 24.”

While an opening date had not yet been pinned down, What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) in early-September had a suspicion that the long-awaited eatery was nearing its opening after an advert was published seeking to hire staff for the restaurant. Hiring is typically one of the final milestones for a new brick-and-mortar business.

Details, including the menu for Bull & Butterfly, are still scarce and requests for comment by WNLA have gone unanswered. Soon after Bull & Butterfly opens, Runway will get a food hall-style concept called Free Market which will house many stalls including one from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
