New wood-fired pizzeria Ghisallo after less than 24 hours in business has already had to close “until further notice” following a “plumbing issue,” a company spokesperson in an email Thursday told What Now Los Angeles. The Santa Monica eatery celebrated its grand opening Wednesday.

“I wish I was writing you with better news but wanted to update you and your team on Ghisallo,” the spokesperson wrote. “While the opening night went smoothly, yesterday a plumbing issue sprung up that is, unfortunately, going to close Ghisallo for the time being.”

It’s unclear the extent of the plumbing issue or how long the newly-debuted Ghisallo is going to be dark while the issue is resolved. “While I don’t have a hard date yet for reopening, I will certainly keep you in the loop and circle back once the plumbing issue is fixed.”
