602 South Tremont Street will soon be home to an array of San Diego brands, including a brewery, a clothing store and a charcuterie company.

This news was unveiled in the wake of What Now San Diego’s coverage of Communal Coffee’s upcoming tenancy, which we reported yesterday. In addition to coffee, the Tremont Collective will also offer beer from Bottlecraft, clothing and accessories from Brixton, and charcuterie from Al Fresko Experience.

Occupying the office space will be Stab Magazine, a popular surf publication. There are still a few spots available for future tenants, but according to Communal Coffee owner Jennifer Byard, they are mostly office spaces.

Byard shared the big news with What Now San Diego on Friday and expressed the brands’ collective anticipation and excitement for the Tremont plans.

“As we think about this complex in general, our hope for it is, since it’s one block off the PCH, and five blocks from downtown, that this will be a convenient gathering space for people,” Byard said.

Byard describes the indoor venue to be full of natural lighting, accentuated by skylights and vaulted ceilings. On the other side of the storefronts will be several thousand square feet of shared patio space, offering outdoor seating and live music.

“I just picture kids running up and down that space as parents sit and have a cocktail,” Byard said. “It’s going to be a really fun space to hang out in. The renderings are great, but that’s just scratching the surface of what it’s going to look like.”
