After nearly a decade of showing flicks, CinéBistro has shuttered its TOWN Brookhaven location, at 1004 Town Blvd. News of the closure arrives several months after CinéBistro’s parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The “dinner and a movie” concept temporarily closed its doors in February after a fire and remained closed through the pandemic. The 760 seat, seven-screen theatre, has since been removed from the company’s website and with the closure two Georgia locations remain in Alpharetta and Peachtree Corners.
Reps for CinéBistro this week did not immediately respond to a request for comment by What Now Atlanta, but in April said the bankruptcy filing was a result of “the economic crisis precipitated by the coronavirus pandemic.” At the time, Cinemex Holdings USA, Inc. and Cinemex USA Real Estate Holdings, Inc., which own and operate several CMX Cinemas, CinéBistro, and Cobb Theatres in Georgia, did not announce plans to close any of its theatres.
