Ford Fry is putting his Rocket Farm Restaurants empire on pause amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a company spokesperson in an email late-Thursday told What Now Atlanta.

“I wanted to let you know Rocket Farm Restaurants has made the very difficult decision to shut down its operations, including to-go and delivery, starting today, March 26,” the spokesperson wrote.

“We have decided to temporarily close to proactively help prevent the spread of the virus as the safety of our employees, guests & surrounding communities remains our top priority.”

Fry’s goal is to reopen all of the restaurants, which include JCT Kitchen, Superica, and The Optimist, on April 13.

While restaurants are not allowed to keep dining rooms open now through April 7 by order of the City of Atlanta, takeout and delivery are allowed (click here for What Now Atlanta’s ever-updating list of “open” restaurants.)
