Gusto! Chamblee Reopens After Temporarily Closing When Employee Tested Positive For COVID-19

Restaurant has been 'professionally cleaned,' all employees have been tested.

Gusto! on Thursday reopened its Chamblee restaurant after voluntarily closing last week when one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

“To ensure the safety of our guests and team, we professionally cleaned the entire shop and are requiring negative COVID-19 results from any returning team members,” Owner Nate Hybl told What Now Atlanta in a prepared statement.

“Our team is healthy and we are amped to reopen today and serve the Chamblee community once again.”

Gusto! Chamblee was the third publicly-known Atlanta-area eatery to voluntarily close when an employee fell ill with the novel coronavirus.

Hattie B’s and Little Rey were the first to make the move and notify the public.

Fritti, a restaurant from Riccardo Ullio, closed its doors in late-April when its manager contracted the virus, the restauranteur alleges, but didn’t come public with the information until Thursday in an email to patrons.

What Now Atlanta published the news over the weekend after a professed group of the restaurant’s employees threatened Ullio.
