In addition to our normal news coverage, What Now Atlanta is tracking ways Atlanta’s businesses are adapting to the novel coronavirus and the challenges it brings to brick-and-mortars.

The Joint Chiropractic, a nationwide chain of chiropractic clinics, is offering free initial visits to all new patients now through the end of June 2020 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All of Georgia’s locations including in Atlanta are participating in the free care, according to a recent press release.

Initial visits, reserved for first-time-customers, include a consultation, exam, and adjustment, and is $29 as per the company’s most recent special.

“More than one-third of Americans experience chronic pain, which has been exacerbated due to the stresses caused by the pandemic,” Peter D. Holt, president and CEO of The Joint Corp., said in the release.

“As states begin to reopen around the country, our doctors of chiropractic are moved to serve their communities through COVID-19 and beyond by donating free chiropractic visits for new patients throughout the month of June, which is valued at approximately $1 million in the aggregate.”

The Joint Chiropractic has more than 500 clinics in 34 states and has remained open amid the novel coronavirus having been deemed an “essential” business.
