Atlanta’s longest-running arts festival, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, is making its return this year. Celebrating its 90th anniversary, fundraising efforts and a new partnership made it possible. The event creates a stage for artists to showcase their work and be recognized for it.
Atlanta Dogwood Festival to Mark 90th Anniversary

For decades, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival has been dedicated to supporting the arts and presenting a popular springtime event. While initially held for nine days, the festival is now held on only one weekend during early April. The festival kicks off each spring as Atlanta’s native dogwood trees bloom, drawing thousands of visitors to Midtown from across the region.
“We are absolutely delighted that the hard work of our board and leadership team, combined with support from the community, corporate and philanthropic organizations, and the City of Atlanta, has allowed the festival to continue in 2026 and hopefully, for years to come,” said Brian Hill, executive director, Atlanta Dogwood Festival.
This year, the festival is returning with the help of a significant fundraising effort and a new partnership. Marking its 90th anniversary, the festival will showcase fine art, live entertainment, hands-on creative activities, and family-friendly experiences.
Sponsorship That Made This Return Possible

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is returning with the presenting sponsor, Associated Credit Union. The $2.6 billion financial institution serves 170,000 members, offering them financial products to fulfill their needs. In its role as the presenting sponsor, it shows support for community-focused events and its commitment to the people and neighborhoods it serves.
“This festival brings our communities together to celebrate our shared culture and vibrant spirit, and we are proud to support an event that creates such lasting memories for our members and neighbors alike,” said Chadwick Evans, EVP-chief lending officer, Associated Credit Union.
Event Highlights and Attractions

The arts and crafts festival showcases talents from across the country. While visitors come from across the Southeast, the festival’s special events add even more excitement to the weekend. Here are some of the highlights of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival:
- Artist Market: Chosen from 1,000 applicants, the festival highlights the works of 250 fine artists. These are chosen from work in mediums like oil, watercolor, sculpture, jewelry, fiber arts, and more. Only the best get to take the stage, making this an achievement on its own.
- Live Music & Entertainment: The Coca-Cola Main Stage features these, bringing local bands, cover bands and artists from India and the Caribbean.
- Mimosa 5K: Festival Saturday kicks off with the Mimosa 5K, a run through Midtown that ends in Piedmont Park. This 5K run is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier, which elevates the event’s excitement.
- Party in the Park: This ticketed event is an exclusive festival experience that includes food tastings, beer, wine, and cocktail samplings. With a private bar, seating, and access to bathrooms, this space upgrades the overall festival experience.
- Atlanta High School Art Exhibition: Bringing competition to the event, this exhibition supports young local artists. A jury of professionals chooses the top pieces among those submitted by Georgia high school students. These pieces are then featured at an exhibition in the festival.
- Family Events: Families can enjoy the Kids Village, packed with games and activities designed for younger visitors.
