The new fire station in the Cascade Heights neighborhood is designed to achieve LEED certification. Built on a 0.84-acre site, the new facility will offer modern resources for Atlanta’s firefighters, including upgraded emergency vehicle bays, improved equipment storage, and updated common areas.

Located at 2349 Benjamin E Mays Dr SW, the new station aims to serve the community while enhancing public safety.

Manhattan Construction, along with JV partner RFB Contractors, is working on its second fire station project in partnership with the City of Atlanta. The milestone adds to Manhattan Construction’s portfolio of Atlanta projects.

Alongside the Atlanta fire station, the company is also working on the redevelopment of the University of Southern California’s football stadium, reflecting its ability to handle both community-scale and national projects.

A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, September 15, marking the start of construction. Speakers at the event included Mayor Andre Dickens, DEAM Commissioner Chris Davis, Councilmembers Marci Collier Overstreet and Andrea Boone, NPU-S Chairman Quadrus Black, and Fire Chief Roderick Smith.

With construction now underway, the facility is set to bring modern infrastructure and essential resources to the city’s fire department, reinforcing the City of Atlanta’s ongoing commitment to public safety and community development.
