One of the largest free jazz festivals in the country is going to take place in Atlanta from May 24-26, 2025. This festival, during the Memorial Day weekend, is produced by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. The Atlanta Jazz Festival started 48 years ago and is a culmination of the month-long Jazz celebration on the Memorial Day weekend. Throughout this long journey hundreds of talented Jazz performers graced the stage throughout metro Atlanta. This year’s celebration will also feature an elaborate artist lineup across three days.
Pre-Jazz Festival Concert
Robert Glasper is a renowned pianist who has won Grammy awards. He will perform at the pre-festival concert with musician Baby Rose. The concert aims to appeal to both longtime jazz enthusiasts and new audiences. Tickets are available for booking, and prices vary as per the row selected, details for which are available here.

Tito’s Jazz Spot
People aged 21 and above are eligible to book a 10X10 tented space. Interested people are advised to gather their friends and family, as up to a maximum of 10 guests are allowed per tent. Tito’s Jazz Spot will offer a relaxed atmosphere for people to recharge themselves throughout the festival and enjoy all three days at their convenience.

Late Night Jazz Concert
A late-night Jazz jam session will be organized as a “Tribute to Churchill Grounds.” Jamal Ahmad will host the event, and the music session will begin at 11 pm. Lil John Roberts, Russell Gunn, and many more musicians will make the night memorable with their eclectic performances.

Food vendors and shopping options will also be available at the festival grounds. No grilling, smoking, or pets are allowed in Piedmont Park during the Atlanta Jazz Festival days. No parking will be allowed in the streets neighboring the festival locations, therefore, it will be best to use public transportation.
