The GNR County Health Departments conduct routine inspections of restaurants in the area. Kang’s Table underwent a routine inspection and received an unsatisfactory score. Management must address the violations before a scheduled follow-up inspection.
Kang’s Table

- Date: November 26, 2025
- Score: 54 (U)
Kang’s Table in Duluth offers an authentic Korean dining experience to diners. However, inspectors found several violations at the restaurant and they are as follows:
- A lack of active managerial control was noted during the inspection. It is the second consecutive violation of the same code.
- Employees were seen walking outside the back door, returning to the kitchen, and touching the prep counter without washing their hands.
- Multiple employee drinks in unapproved cups were found throughout the kitchen prep area. It is also the second consecutive violation of the same code, according to the report.
- The cooked napa cabbage and kimchi stew was unable to cool to 70°F within 2 hours. TCS foods that are being cooled from 135°F to 70°F must cool within the first two hours.
- A butane torch was above the clean dishes and beef soup in the kitchen prep area. All poisonous and toxic materials should not contaminate food, equipment, utensils, and so on.
- There were multiple in-use containers of sauces and seasonings that were not labeled with the common name. It is the second consecutive violation of the same code.

- Raw fish was thawing in a sink filled with water, with no running water.
- Bags and containers of food were stored on the floor. They were also found on the floor of the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer. It is the third consecutive violation of the same code.
- The facility did not have chlorine test strips for the dishwashing machine.

Follow-Up Inspection

The management of Kang’s Table needs to correct the violations documented in the health report. A follow-up inspection will be conducted within 10 days of the inspection. Failure to fix the violations by then may result in suspension of the permit.
