The GNR Public Health Department conducted several health inspections on December 8. Xi Hotpot underwent a routine check, and the restaurant was cited for multiple health code violations, resulting in a low score and grade.

Xi Hotpot, a popular Sichuan hot-pot restaurant in Metro Atlanta, is known for its premium cuts, fresh produce, and wide menu. According to the inspection report, the inspection concluded the restaurant violated several health-code. The violations are as follows:
- The report noted that the person in charge was not knowledgeable about required reportable illnesses and symptoms, a third consecutive violation. It also found no verifiable proof that employees had been informed of their reporting responsibilities.
- Items were found stored inside the handwashing sinks in two areas. One sink lacked paper towels.
- The report said that raw fish was found in the ice machine, and raw seafood was stored above mushrooms in the walk-in cooler. The ice was discarded, and items were reorganized.
- Four hot pot soup bases were above 41°F, a third consecutive violation.
- Two spray bottles lacked labels, and a residential insecticide was found in the kitchen. The report said the insecticide was discarded, with one bottle labeled and the other thrown out.

- The report said large pieces of raw meat were thawing at room temperature.
- Boxes and bags of food in both the walk-in cooler and freezer were stored directly on the floor.
- The person in charge could not provide a complete chlorine test kit.
- The report also noted the buildup of debris on prep tables, equipment surfaces, and floors in both walk-in units.

Follow-up Inspection
