CityVet Northlake Clinic and Services
CityVet will be opening its latest branch in Northlake on July 14. The network of veterinarian-owned practices was established by Dr. Chip Cannon about 25 years ago. Situated at 2144 Northlake Pkwy Suites A&B, the practice will be managed by veterinary specialist Dr. Frank Romano who has over 8 years of laparoscopic experience.
A full suite of veterinary services, including preventive care, diagnostic testing, tailored wellness plans, and soft tissue surgeries, will be available at CityVet Northlake. The clinic will also introduce minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, which involves performing advanced procedures with smaller incisions. The process results in less bleeding, reduced pain, and quicker recovery for pets.
CityVet, headquartered in Dallas, has a network of over 50 clinics spread across Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, and Indiana.
Dr. Frank Romano’s Vision for the Clinic
Similar to every CityVet location, the Northlake clinic will be owned by a veterinarian. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Romano earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing in the Atlanta area for eight years and has worked with more than 70 clinics through relief work, including several CityVet locations.
Dr. Romano recommends doing the laparoscopic surgery to make it less painful, with less blood loss and a shorter healing period.
His mission with CityVet Northlake is to develop an environment where all team members feel appreciated and encouraged to continue gaining knowledge and experience. “With CityVet’s support, I’m able to focus on what matters most: leading an inspired team, building meaningful relationships, and delivering truly personalized care,” said Dr. Romano.
Fundamentally, the mission of the clinic is to make sure that clients walk away feeling happy after the visit and feeling known when they come back. Dr. Romano appreciates the importance of creating true connections with consistency, kindness and community.
Growing Presence in Atlanta Area
CityVet has consistently expanded its reach in Atlanta over the years. CityVet President and CEO David Boguslawski firmly believes that the foundation of exceptional veterinary care lies in the establishment of strong relationships between veterinary leaders, their teams, and the communities they serve.
What Dr. Romano has planned for the Northlake location is completely in line with CityVet’s mission. Boguslawski added, “We’re excited to see the impact he and his team will make in the Northlake community.” The Atlanta expansion is yet another sign of the clinic’s commitment to serving the pet community by giving pet owners closer access to high-quality veterinary care in the metro area.
The debut in Northlake marks the latest major milestone in the company’s growth. With this new chapter, CityVet will remain focused on providing exceptional, client-centric pet care through a full-service range of offerings including boarding, grooming, and healthy pet foods.
