No person in charge (PIC) was available at the facility when the inspectors arrived. Employees were observed eating and drinking in the kitchen prep area. Employees should only eat or drink in designated areas, away from food prep and service areas.

Staff did not sanitize dishes after washing them. Utensils and food-contact surfaces of equipment must be sanitized after cleaning. TCS foods must be cooled from 135°F to 70°F within two hours, as instructed by the inspector.

Inspectors observed that many containers of sauces and seasonings were missing labels indicating their common names. Except for food that can be easily identified, working containers holding food, such as cooking oils, flour, herbs, potato flakes, salt, spices, and sugar, should be clearly labeled.

Cooked foods were cooled at the premises using improper cooling methods. Proper cooling methods must be used to meet health code requirements.

For effective cooling, food containers inside cold holding units must be arranged to permit optimal heat transfer. Inspectors discovered employee phones, speakers, and food items improperly stored on prep surfaces and inside the walk-in cooler. The detailed report is available here.

Follow-up Inspection

During the visit, some violations were addressed, and inspectors advised staff on safe cooling and storage methods. A follow-up inspection at Naan N’ Curry will be conducted by the GNR Health Department within ten days of the recent visit, September 6, 2025. If the cited violations are not addressed, the facility risks having its permit suspended.
