A great taste-off is all set to happen in Atlanta. On National Have a Coke Day, Pepsi plans to steal the spotlight from Coca-Cola by inviting Atlantans to choose between the Zero Sugar drinks from the brands.

A 3-Step Test and Free Drinks

The ultimate taste test is on, and it will crown the best-tasting drink with three steps:

  • Step 1: This step will be the blind taste test, where the participants will be handed two unmarked cups – one containing Pepsi Zero Sugar and the other with Coke Zero Sugar.
  • Step 2: In this step, the participants will sample the taste of the drinks in both cups.
  • Step 3: The participants will then choose which drink tasted better to them. If they choose Pepsi, they’ll have a celebratory moment.

Finally, all those who participate in the test will be handed a free 20-oz bottle of Pepsi Zero Sugar, no matter which drink they choose during the test.

The Pepsi Challenge is Back

The Pepsi Challenge was reintroduced earlier this year. The first version of the challenge was in 1975, when people across the country tasted Pepsi and Coca-Cola and had to decide which they preferred.

Now, half a century later, Pepsi has set out yet again to bring the taste test to a whole new generation of people. This time, the more health-conscious and sugar-averse consumers will find out which of the Zero Sugar beverages tastes better.

Pepsi is travelling across the country and through various markets, until October, bringing the challenge to the consumers.
