1000 Spring, Midtown‘s latest mixed-use high-rise development, broke ground today according a press release from the developers Portman Residential. The real estate development company is associated with long-time Atlanta firm Portman Holdings, and partnered with National Real Estate Advisors, LLC to finance the project.
When completed, the tower will be comprised of 370 residential units over roughly 25 stories, as well as 11,000 square feet of retail space. In addition to the retail amenities, the tower will include a resort-style pool, fitness center and clubroom. The modern interior design is led by Fogatary Finger, while the building’s architectural design is led by Atlanta-based Cooper Carry.
Located in Midtown at the northwest corner of Spring Street and 10th Street NW, the tower is the first phase of a 4.09-acre master-planned development at the site that will eventually include a 525,000 square foot Class A office building and the historic H.M. Patterson & Son’s Spring Hill Chapel, which will be adapted into a 225-key hotel and event venue.
