Wendover Housing Partners said Wednesday it is now accepting applications for residents at Hartland Station, a 131-unit affordable housing project in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood.
The project is currently taking shape at 2074 Fleet St. SW, where it will offer an array of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments reserved for households at less than the area median income. The project received financing from Invest Atlanta in 2019 for committing to set aside at least 52 units for households at 60 percent of AMI or below, a fact sheet from the time shows.
“Atlanta is home to a thriving economy, but like most cities, is experiencing a severe shortage of affordable housing,” Wendover Housing Partners founder and CEO Jonathan L. Wolf said in a statement. “Hartland Station addresses the need for affordable housing and provides legacy residents with a new option to stay in a neighborhood that they know and love.”
The total cost of the project is $28 million, according to this week’s announcement. Financing has come from several sources, including $1.5 million from Invest Atlanta’s Housing Opportunity Bond program. Cabretta Capital provided $5.5 million, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported last year.
General contractor Roger B. Kennedy Construction broke ground on the Slocum Platts Architects-designed project last June.
Hartland Station’s planned amenities include a business center, fitness center, activity room, and playground.
