UPDATE (March 19, 2019): Fate of Bezoria, Noodle Uncertain As 903 Peachtree Forges Forward
Chicago-based CA Ventures is proposing a 32-story Midtown tower with 12,000 square feet of street-level retail, at 903 Peachtree Street.
The yet-to-be-named mixed-use development would be built where several low-rise commercial buildings are situated, home to concepts like Bezoria and Noodle.
Benzino’s Crab Shack had a short six-month stint at the site.
It’s unclear what would happen to the existing restaurants and retailers should the project move forward.
Plans call for eight levels of “podium parking” with approximately 549 parking spaces topped by 23 residential stories with 417 units, according to a recap presented to The Midtown Development Review Committee (DRC) for October.
The project proposes separate loading and vehicular access from two drives along 8th Street including a small motor court.
“The DRC applauded the design team in their striking design and eloquent handling of the exterior design podium parking with a glass and panel system,” the Midtown Alliance published to its blog Wednesday.
“The committee recommended that the design of the motor court and ‘back-of-house’ area be reconsidered to provide better and safer pedestrian access to both the retailers and 8th Street sidewalk including a lay-by for pick-up and drop off.”
In order to move forward, the DRC is requiring additional details on the south and east facades “due to the context of the nearby existing buildings,” which is expected to be presented at November’s meeting.
Please tell me that they are going to demo Bulldogs. That’s the eyesore that needs to go.
Word on the street is that Bulldogs is NOT slated to be part of this project. Can “What Now Atlanta” confirm or disprove this rumor?

I hope the project is moved to a different area. Currently, there are far too many of these high rises all opening up with in 18 months of each other. Juniper, Peachtree, and other cross streets are in horrible disrepair. Nothing is being done to correct these issues. I haven’t seen any additional fire department, police, or health resources added in this area either though, we have an addition 2,000 flats for people to move into that didn’t exist 2 yrs ago. I love midtown. This is one project that would be better suited elsewhere until the infrastructures are added. In the meantime, I hope everyone goes to Noodle, Bulldogs, Vortex, and all the other spots here. If we don’t use them some greedy person will bring another fleet of people to clog rush hour And our uniqueness will be gone forever.
