Downtown Atlanta’s hospitality scene is set for a major lift as Hotel Phoenix approaches its debut. Designed to capture the energy of the surrounding neighborhood, the hotel embraces Downtown’s vibrant character.
Centennial Yards to Welcome Hotel Phoenix in December
Centennial Yards, Atlanta’s major urban revitalization effort, will soon add Hotel Phoenix to its growing lineup. The Hotel Phoenix is an 18-floor project that is one of the first to be completed in the redevelopment area. Positioned at the heart of Downtown’s resurgence, the hotel highlights the city’s creative energy.
Set to open on December 1, 2025, the hotel is excited to welcome guests. With a lineup of modern amenities, the hotel reflects Atlanta’s fast-changing landscape. It is also a milestone for the 50-acre project, reflecting Downtown’s spirit.
“Hotel Phoenix was designed to make every guest feel the spirit of Atlanta the moment they arrive,” said Gary Schweikert, Managing Director of CIM Group’s Hospitality Division. “From its warm, modern interiors to its vibrant dining and gathering spaces, the hotel celebrates the city’s creative energy and genuine sense of welcome.”
Luxurious Rooms and Amenities at the Hotel
Hotel Phoenix features 292 rooms, including 15 suites and a penthouse, all offering floor-to-ceiling views. The rooms are furnished in rich, verdant tones and warm, earthy accents, reflecting the hotel’s sophistication and style. Part of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts L.V.X collection, it embodies world-class features.
Overlooking the Mercedes-Benz Stadium or Centennial Yards, the ten-foot windows add a magical touch to the guests’ experience. Some rooms also include terraces, adding another layer to their unique, luxurious feel. Meanwhile, the themed mini-bar offers highlights from Atlanta’s Sister Cities international connections.
Guests can enjoy artisan chocolate from Brussels, Belgium, and snacks from Olympia, Greece, and Nuremberg, Germany. Guests will also find local, nostalgic snacks that highlight Atlanta flavors. Apart from these treats, the luxurious Bellino spa-style robes and linens, and Byredo bath amenities offer relaxation and indulgence for rest and rejuvenation.
The property also includes a 1,828-square-foot fitness center. Meanwhile, its resort-style terrace lounge, Bless Your Heart, outdoor pool, and event lawn will debut in Spring 2026. The 15,000+ square feet indoor and outdoor event space makes Hotel Phoenix the perfect choice for a variety of events.
French Influences to Mesmerize Guests at Zephyr
Located just off the hotel lobby is the signature dining concept, Zephyr. With culinary guidance from consulting Chef Shaun Hergatt, it delivers the hotel’s luxurious experience. The dining experience highlights a blend of French influence and soulful Southern cooking.
Menu highlights include Shrimp Biscuits, Spicy Fried Chicken, and the Endive Salad. The dining experience under Executive Chef Carelys Vazquez and Chef de Cuisine Jonathan Mailo is impressive; the beverage program is equally attractive. GM and mixologist Thandi Walton’s program includes an extensive selection of domestic and international wines.
Zephyr offers daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner service with leisurely weekend brunches. Within Zephyr is an expansive bar, Bar Z, that offers an all-day experience to both guests and locals. It offers everything from morning coffee to pre- and post-event cocktails.
Vibrant Designs and Art Collection
Completing the vision of Hotel Phoenix is its architecture and interior design. Drawing inspiration from the site’s historic rail system, the design blends an autumnal color palette that showcases the changing hues of Atlanta’s tree canopy. Another highlight is Dutch artist Peter Gentenaar’s custom paper-and-bamboo sculpture suspended above the grand staircase in the lobby.
Design elements throughout the property draw from Downtown Atlanta’s historic architecture. The Art Nouveau-inspired tile patterns, marble countertops, and glass pendant lighting are all a reflection of this idea.
Matthew Whitaker has curated the hotel’s art collection. It serves as an emotional and human connection to the city’s history through the lens of over 20 local and national artists. The highlight is the nine-panel, bent-neon installation by local artists Vyvyan Hughes.
The hotel also offers art tours and rotating exhibits to ensure guests get a complete experience. The hotel’s programming and design aim to create a personal and locally connected experience for guests.
