Additional Details Emerge for the Fetch Dog Park at The Works as Developers File SAP Application

Developers Selig Enterprises and their representatives Flippo Civic Design filed a Special Administrative Permit (SAP) Application last week, which reveals additional details about the Fetch Dog Park slated to be constructed at The Works adaptive mixed-use district in Atlanta’s Upper Westside. The filing includes a detailed site plan and project description.

The site plan details a sprawling park covering two existing green spaces at the northeast corner of the complex, adjacent to the intersection of Chattahoochee Row and Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard. The two green spaces would be linked by an elevated pedestrian bridge to connect the two fenced areas while allowing adequate clearance for vehicular traffic. 

The site plan also details the size and location of six proposed structures, including an airstream bar, two restroom buildings, two open-air seating areas and a storage room. The structures total 1,659 square feet, or roughly 3% of the approximately 1 acre park. The park would also include a cooling station and dog wash station with 3 dog tubs. The entire site would be enclosed by a 6 – 8 ft fence and would be accessible via a gate off of Chattahoochee Row.

The SAP application indicates the Fetch Dog Park is on course for its late 2021 debut, as reported by What Now Atlanta in an exclusive article in April of 2021. Fetch Park at The Works would become Fetch’s 4th location, the others located in the Old Fourth Ward, Buckhead and Alpharetta. Another location is currently being planned for Nashville’s Germantown Neighborhood, but has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
