Developer Wood Partners has received approvals and is scheduled to break ground on its eight-story, 290-unit Buckhead project in the first quarter of 2022, What Now Atlanta has confirmed with Coro Realty Advisors, which owns the project site through an affiliate.

Revised in the last year, project plans submitted and approved in 2019 had called for 245 units and 186 hotel rooms to rise at 3314 Piedmont Rd. NE., a parking lot at the Buckhead Place shopping center.

A special administrative permit application for the latest, apartment-only plans for the site was approved last month, city records show.

Plans call for 35 studios, 185 one-bedrooms, 55 two-bedrooms, and 15 three-bedrooms over three levels of parking with about 530 spaces.

The architect for the planned development is Brock Hudgins Architects.
