Ponce City Market (PCM) Friday announced the grand opening of Barking Hound Village, including a dog valet service, just inside the mixed-use development’s entrance off the Atlanta BeltLine.

What Now Atlanta in February first reported Barking Hound Village’s plans to open the Old Fourth Ward outpost.

The hourly valet concept is Barking Hound Village’s sixth location in Atlanta and offers visitors the option to drop off their dog while visiting PCM.

“State-of-the-art, comfortable spaces can accommodate dogs of any size, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes,” according to the announcement.

In addition to the valet, Barking Hound Village also offers dog bathing services, where dogs can be washed and dried in under an hour.

The concept also retails rawhide chews and “King of Pups” frozen treats from the Central Food Hall’s King of Pops in PCM, and other pet products.

During the grand opening Saturday, Barking Hound Village is offering free dog treats and 15 percent off the valet service, according to the company’s Facebook page.

“Shop for them, then use our dog valet service to go and shop for yourself! We offer treats, specially selected food, toys, bathing products, collars, leashes, and more.”

Barking Hound Village is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The newly renovated space is located immediately off the Beltline, just before the property’s complimentary bike valet.

In celebration of the opening, Atlantans and their pups are invited to stop by The Shed at PCM on Saturday, August 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for complimentary dog portraits by local photographer Scott Lowden.

  • Stopped by today 11/18/18 at 2:30 and it was closed. Very disappointing as we planned an afternoon around this convenient service at PCM. Any reason it wasn’t open?
